This Is Why People Don't Trust The NDP

When the NDP are against a Wall, they just start making stuff up...

"- shorter waits in ERs and hospitals when people have the medications they need"

Based on what medical evidence exactly? That people won't know they're on the longest surgical waiting lists in the country if they are heavily medicated? This is absolute balderdash.

Do voters deserved to be lied to in this manner?

The evidence is overwhelming. The NDP simply cannot be trusted.

Hi Boogeyman - I've noticed the Calvert "machine" has been trying to gain traction by repeating the "dreaded" phrase "means testing" ad nauseum (showed up again in the ad you just posted). If "means testing" is such a horrible concept to Calvert and the NDP, then I can't wait for Lorne to come out with a plan for provincial income tax (and social assistance distribution, distribution of child tax benefits etc, etc etc - you fill in the list) that fully removes any "means testing" (ie)flat tax that is the SAME FOR EVERYBODY. That's only fair, don't ya know! Anything less than this could be construed as hypocritical.(and we all know that socialist ideology is never hypocritical).

If there is no "means test", everyone should get anything anyone is entitled to.

As The Greek posted on SDA on one of his comments, where are his slave reparations, his welfare payment, his residential school payout, and why does he pay taxes when others don't?

That's universality for you. You have to always default to what someone else is getting, not what someone else is missing.

And the real reason why socialism cannot work.

They also say that the universal plan is affordable and sustainable based on the seniors plan. Wasn't the seniors plan introduced earlier this year? Drugs are the fastest growing expense in health care, and they say it is sustainable based on less than a year of providing the other plan? These guys are totally inept!

I believe Canada spent more on Drugs than Doctors for the 1st time last year.
