Calvert's Desperate Celebrity Endorsement

One of the NDP Boogeyman's operatives has informed me that Tom Jackson, the First Nation's singer and actor is flying into Saskatoon to help campaign for the NDP. Evidently, Jackson is a "good friend" of Calvert's.

He is coming at the request of Calvert in an attempt to garner more First Nations support in the constituency of Riversdale.

This is not good news for the NDP...

  1. Historically, the First Nations of Saskatchewan voted Liberal federally and NDP provincially. This time however, there is a strong respect for Brad Wall and the Sask Party. This may be eroding NDP support from what they consider a core vote.
  2. Fred Ozirney with the Saskatchewan Party has run a surprisingly effective campaign in Riversdale. The odds are against them, but in the Devine sweep of 1982, even Riversdale was lost to the PC's (remember the gas pump jockey Joanne Zazelenchuk who defeated Roy Romanow?)
  3. If Calvert is taking time on the Sunday before the election to campaign with a core vote in his own constituency, what are HIS numbers saying? Is Tom Jackson a last ditch effort on Calvert's part to bring up his bruised and battered profile?

I used to think that Riversdale was a given for the NDP.

But with the NDP polling lower than they did in the PC sweep of 1982, Ozirney's efforts in the constituency, and Calvert bringing in a celebrity endorser to work with him on the Sunday before the election, are we looking at a potential upset here?

One can only dream...

I have been wondering when the NDP would "pull out the big guns!"

I expect that we will see Taliban Jack in Saskatchewan on Monday. Jack is so arrogant that he actually thinks the people of Saskatchewan like him, when he couldn't be more wrong. Jack and Olivia's presence here just days before the election could very well put the SP at 60% of the popular vote on Wednesday.

I'd go and see Tom Jackson anyway. ;-)

And if "Jack and Olivia" came to town, I'd be the one hurling rotten tomatoes.

I wouldn't through tomatoes, I'd be over there shaking their hands and wishing they came back more often! I credit Taliban Jack with the last 2 Conservative landslides here in Saskatchewan! The Sask Party should be paying him to come here!

I will refrain from hurling tomatoes long enough to let you do that.

Shirl's been here at the opening of Eugenics High...

I've oft wondered why she comes here to tell us how good we have it under the NDP, but she doesn't live here...

Things that make you go hmmm...

Where's Steve?

Steve who you fascist dimwits ask?

Steve, the guy who promised to change the Equalization formula so it didn't screw Saskatchewan any more and when elected told us to go to hell because Quebec needed our money and had the votes he needed.

Steve the guy who cheated Saskatchewan out of 1 billion per annum and Newfoundland and Nova Scotia of 800 million per annum so he could give Quebec an extra 1.8 billion per annum.

Steve, the guy who chastised the Liberals for the goings on in Quebec but wouldn't order an inquiry into Mulroney gate?

Steve, the liar who promised not to touch income trusts and then eliminated them.

Steve, the goof who talked about accountability and cleaning up parliament, as his party cheated and engaged in possibly criminal acts as they violated Election Act spending laws.

Why isn't Steve here campaigning for his buddy Brad Wall?

After all, a number of his people are working for the SP, and several of them are actually running for the SP.

If Steve were here campaigning for the SP you dimwit fascists might even win by a landslide.

Get on the phone and get to your emails. Tell Brad to call his buddy Steve and help him in the last days of the campaign.

A majority government could be at stake.

The screams of the dying left...

Wonderful...

It seems to me Shirl comes here to give us shit for not worshipping her father and his legacy. Every time she opens her big mouth on the subject I have an image in my mind of someone trying to hammer square pegs into round holes and getting angrier and angrier because they don't fit too well.

Hey remember, never forget to whine, eh. That was a great practice run. It's about the only thing dippers and other fools do really well, so you might as well keep it up.

Fascists of the world unite!!! LOL!!!

Whreathing, wrything, screaming, dying. Time to call in the exorcist.

Such desperation. I have noticed that none of these socialists ever want to talk about the healthcare waiting list or the violent crime rates...

Trent, another fascist goof with a couple of boogeymen (sic). Idiots like you couldn't afford a doctor if we didn't have medicare.

Violent crime rates. Just how stupid are you?

Violent crime rates have never been lower. And they are significantly lower in Canada than they are in the US with its much higher per capita incarceration rates and stiffer sentences.

Saskatchewan has a crime problem compared to the ROC because it has a poverty problem. This problem is in large measure to federal recalcitrance in looking after Sask's aboriginals, and settling residential school law suits.

While Harper has gone some way to correct the latter, he has done nothing about the former. Did Karwacki's attempt to bring this recalcitrance to public light pass you by completely?

Trent,

remember is in a room alone, enjoying the smell of his own farts (i.e. troll)

Do not engage and let his stupidity reign supreme...

These days, I am onl;y remembering our veterans: these brave men and women exemplify the best qualities of Canadians: unselfish, making no excuses, sacrificing themselves for others, and asking for nothing in return.

The NDP Boogeyman said...

Amen to that, pavlov... Amen...

The left appears to be on the edge. There is definite fear of losing on the behalf of the neo socialists. I do have to wonder if they will become violent?

Hilarious. Trent has another boogeyman (sic). Neo-socialists on the rampage.
