We get mail!

They’re at it again. With your money. See the email below from union organizer Jason Reihl.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all,

This Saturday, October 1st, the SOS Crowns campaign will be doing a pamphlet drop in Moose Jaw (i.e. delivering pamphlets to people's homes), and it would be of tremendous assistance if anyone is able to volunteer a bit of their time to assist. If you are able to make it on Saturday to lend a hand, we will be meeting at the Moose Jaw Union Centre (1402 Caribou Street West) at 10 am. Alternatively, if not available that day a person could commit to covering a certain area, and deliver the pamphlets at their own convenience over the next few weeks; any amount of help would be greatly appreciated, even if it is just delivering to the block that you live on.

If interested and available, or if you have any questions, please email Local 3's member on the SOS Crowns steering committee Bill Lawson (bill.lawson@sasktel.com) so we know how many people to expect on Saturday, or to arrange for a time to pick up pamphlets to deliver after October 1st. With the truly alarming (and seemingly ever-increasing) amount of contracting out of what has traditionally been our work taking place as of late, the information that this campaign is attempting to get out to the people of Saskatchewan could have a real impact on you personally, and though giving up some of your weekend is never fun, I hope you'll really consider lending a hand.

If I inadvertently sent this to any out-of-scope employees, you are also more than welcome to help out as well.

Thanks in advance,
Jason

Dear Jason,

Cram it where the sun doesn't shine. No one is buying your Save the Crowns lies this time around. Now that you can't leave your fear mongering newsletters and propaganda in the nursing homes and hospitals, you reek of desperation. Enjoy November 7th..I know I will!!!

Great to have you back, BM! Tell your friends, coworkers, neighbours family, etc. We have to do EVERYTHING we can to keep the high-tax anti-family NDP out of power. GOTV!

Just out of curiosity, why would SOS target an NDP held riding? Is this one of the ridings slated to be taken by the SK Party this election?

oxygentax. If I were a candidate for the NDP I wouldn't feel completely safe in any seat.

But Moosejaw North was Glenn Hagel up until the last election. The seat changed hands to Warren Michelson by 0.4% ... only 33 votes. Hagel held it for 21 years.

It should also be known that Rick Swenson will run in MJN this go round... After getting only 3.5% of the vote in his old riding of thunder creek last time. Since he has no chance to win,... maybe he figgers he can make use of the chip on his shoulder and be a spoiler against the Saskparty.

Moosejaw Wakamow is Deb Higgins, who won in '03 with a margin of 32%. But only 1/2 of that in '07. Gwen Beitel is sure to mount a strong charge

oops, cut off the end of my post accidentally.

Higgins won by that 16% last time. Since then (based purely on polling) the gap between the 2 parties has widened by 24%..... that makes MJW in play.

Just a head's up Barcs.. Greg Lawrence is the SP Candidate in Moose Jaw Wakamow, not Gwen Beitel. Greg has been actively campaigning for some time now and will give a certain former safeway checkout clerk a run for her money.

Ah my mistake, sorry Paulie. Must have read it wrong somewhere. Don't know why I thought Gwen was running again. But I certainly do hope that Mr. Lawrence wins.

Because NDP supporters are gullible?
