Kelvington/Wadena (November 05th) - Nursing home workers are being called by NDP operatives and being told that a Saskatchewan Party government would cancel their benefits and roll back their wages. - verified sighting

Seeing as it was Linky who was in cabinet when rent controls were scrapped in 1992, he yet again comes across looking like Saskatchewan's biggest hypocrite. Oh and a big shout out to Kent E. who referred to me by name on his blog... I feel soooooo important Kent! Enjoy November Big Fella!!
NDP VP Kent E. Peterson dropped by the site to give his two cents. And then he deleted his comment. So I thought I'd repost it (without the email address);

Two thoughts... Lately Mr. Peterson has been fixated by Mr. Lalonde. Now he wants people to spam him. I can only venture to guess why. Not cool netiquette.
Secondly, if the rent is too damn high for Mr. Peterson, perhaps he could consider working more rather than stalking people on this blog and his own blog, i.e. Sask Party Watch
If Kent thinks that rent is too high, perhaps he could enlighten us as to what a reasonable rent is.
The problem is that ANY rent might be too high for a percentage of the population. That doesn't mean that all landlords should be forced to lower the amount they charge just because a small number of people can't or don't want to pay a reasonable amount - one that covers all of the expenses.
Think your rent is too high? Get a roommate - all of a sudden your rent is cut in half. Don't want a roommate? Then don't occupy a 2 bedroom apartment that will cost more than a one bedroom.
Want to control how much rent is charged? Buy a friggin' apartment building - then you can control the rent all you want.

THIS JUST MADE MY DAY!!!! I love it!
First off, I've never commented on rent or landlord complaints or anything remotely close. Ever. While I did own a few rental properties over a decade ago, I had excellent tenants and no complaints worth mentioning. I still remain friendly with almost all of my former tenants to this day.
Secondly, I am disappointed that I have yet to receive a single hate email; Kent, you can't tease me with such things and then not deliver. I'll probably be checking my email every 2 minutes for the next couple of days in anticipation, so please, do not disappoint me. (BTW, I think my parents have an old 8-track player in the attic if Dwain Lingenfelter would like to record a nasty message and mail it to me)
Finally, Mr. Peterson, I am working on something very big right now that will have you seething mad when it comes out, so I suggest that you prepare for it now by keeping your blood pressure low and getting plenty of rest.
Still haven't felt the "wrath" of Kent Peterson and the NDP, however, there are a handful of NDP following me on twitter. @gustoffur if you want to follow along.
On Sask Party Watch they seem to be concerned with who employees me, not that it's any of their business and my employer isn't concerned. I'm also unaware of any laws preventing me from stating my opinions. Things are sure to change if NDP elected in November.

LOL!! Exactly. Lingenfelter has nothing to offer but ideas that were tried and failed a quarter century ago.
I lived through the rent control days. My husband was in the construction business. Construction of new rental properties came to a screeching halt. The only way to lower rents is to have a glut of rental properties on the market. Period!
