While the NDP Complains

About non-existent loan guarantees with the Amicus deal, the Saskatchewan taxpayers take a REAL hit as a result of the NDP's unprecedented financial mismanagement in Thompson Meats.

The provincial government is receiving $247,000 from the sale of Thomson Meats, after putting close to $12 million into the Melfort company over the course of several years, Agriculture Minister Bob Bjornerud said Thursday.

...

Bjornerud said the government investments into the company -- which included share purchases, debentures and grants -- took place from 1996 -- 2007 under previous NDP governments. The province said it never collected dividends or repayment of the debentures

I guess this is one scandal that Gormley missed in his book. I'm sure there will be more than enough for a second edition.

The NDP - when they're not harassing Don McMorris' mother or Premier Wall's wife - have their flunky, James Woods, trying his best to make Amicus an issue. At first I thought they were trying to detract attention from the Lingenfelter membership fraud scandal or the Mark Stobbe murder trial and the obvious corruption that took place when the Manitoba NDP sealed the case file for 7 years, but now I think they may have had the Thompson Meat scandal in mind.

It would be interesting to find out how many loyal NDP's got rich from Thompson Meats? An inquiry is definitely warranted.

I would like to know where the money went ?? Who was involved ? who profited ?
How many people involved made donations back to the NDP during this time ? and how much ?

Yes I think it is warranted to have a look.
